Chicago and our new nephew!
We went to Chicago this past weekend to see my best friend Johnna. We left on Friday and got to Chicago to pick Gio up from the airport, we got to Chicago a little bit early and Johnna was still working so we went to a Panera Bread and sat outside and enjoyed the weather for a couple hours, it was so relaxing. We then picked Gio up from the airport and went back to Johnna's. Lincoln of course was a big hit, his aunt Johnna spoils him so much! Her roomates were just about as bad, but they had to fight Johnna to get him (she is a BIG baby hog!) We also got to meet our new nephew Theodore (Teddy) He is a little Yorkie Poodle mix puppy and so adorable with the best personality! We wanted to bring him home, but I am sure after Lincoln pulling his hair he would much rather stayed in Chicago. Saturday morning we met my parents half way because they were going to keep Lincoln until Sunday. This was our first time leaving him overnight. It was hard, but he always does so well with my parents that I was not worried, I just missed him. My mom is much like I am with Lincoln, which I think is part of the reason he is so comfortable with them. We then went back to Chicago to go to a Cubs game with Johnna and Gio and do the Chicago thing for a night! It was a lot of fun!! Although we kept commenting how light we felt without a 18 lbs baby hanging on us! Lincoln however, had a BLAST! I will get more pictures of him from my mom, but he did great. Tyler and Hannah stayed Saturday night with Lincoln and they all played together so well. The kids took turns pushing him in the stroller at the park and they were such big helps. Tyler said that he saw in his future lots of babysitting and I think he is right! Sunday morning we took Gio back to the airport and then drove to my parents house to spend the day. Both grandma's and my grandpa came for lunch (of course they had been at my house pretty much since Lincoln got there) and then later the Ortmans came over. It was a great day I love seeing Tyler and Hannah with Lincoln, it is like I have my three kids together! Then we had to drive home. I never want to leave home to come back to Evansville because I miss everyone so much, but I was ready to sleep in my own bed and have some time just the three of us. We really missed Lincoln, but we had a great weekend with friends! I do not see us leaving him any time soon, but at least we know how good he does at mema and grandpa's house! Oh and I almost forgot to tell you how beautiful Johnna's apartment is. It is in down town Chicago and is 35 stories she lives on the 34th, and the view is amazing! We went up on the rooftop to take some pictures, and this is the view that Johnna wakes up to every morning ( a tiny bit better then my pretty town of Evansville HAHA!)

It is OK seeing pictures of Matt, Jo, Chicago, dogs ... But I thought this is Lincoln's blog!!!!! Don't you think he should at least be in the picture?
Hey Remember me? your daughter!!! Before Lincoln I was important and you wanted to see pictures of me. In order for him to be in the pictures he would have not been with you!! So next time we will take him with us and not leave him with you! HA got you there grandpa!
Don't be dissin pics of my "grandson" Ray! Some of us have to take what we can get,, even if they ARE hairy! ;)
It is so great that you two got a little time alone. Sounds and looks like you had a nice time and it is true that as soon as you have kids you are forgotten in the eyes of your parents. ;)

You have not been forgotten, nor am I complaining about having Sir Lincoln for the little time we had. All I was trying to say as I thought you were going to update the blog with more Lincoln pictures as you said you were going to in the posting of the Pittsburg posting!
