Lincoln 15 months.....

Lincoln is 15 months and I can not believe how big he is getting. Everything he is doing is so much fun, except for one thing. He will not look, smile, or even hold still for me to take a picture of him!! It is getting frustrating, I do not think I have gotten a picture of him smiling at the camera for months! However, he could not be more fun right now!! I always say that I do not want him to get any bigger or change, but every stage has been so fun. He is quite the climber and he is a very smart little boy. He now knows that when the microwave dings it is time to go open the door (which he tries to do), he does not miss a thing! We have been traveling a lot lately. We went up north to see my family the last two weekends partly because we had weddings both Saturdays. Lincoln has done such a good job traveling (thank goodness for the DVD player in our SUV!!). He loves being up north because there is so much to do and to explore there!! My mom has a preschool in her home so there are so many fun outside and inside toys for him to play with. Lincoln still has his hat obsession, which is working to my advantage because he will keep hats on outside. Addie brought him a hat back from FL and I do not think he has taken it off since she gave it to him. Along with his hat obsession he is starting a shoe obsession. He loves shoes!!! He gets into our closets and tries on all of our shoes. It is very funny!! He knows that when we come inside he is suppose to take his shoes off, so when we walk in the door he starts saying in a stressed manner "shoe shoe shoe shoe" until you take his shoe AND SOCK off!!! He is trying to talk in sentences, but it is mostly baby talk. He is understanding a lot more things: like when we ask if he is hungry or ready for dinner he goes to his high chair, he also lets us know when he is hungry by saying cracker or going to his high chair and giving us his bib, he understands that when his shoes get put on we are going outside (we have to be completely ready when we put them on him because he rockets for the door), he knows nigh night means it is time to walk into the bedroom, he brings us books to read him when we ask or when he wants us to. It is fun to see him learning new things everyday. We started coloring once a day and he really likes that. We are very proud of our little guy, but we might be a little bias.

You are entering the best stage. I love the age between 15 - 20 months. After that they get a little more difficult. :( But right now they are so fun and becoming a little independent to play on thier own for a while, which is a great break. He is so cute!! ENJOY!
