Summer Fun!

We have been having a lot of fun filled days the last couple weeks. Nichole (Addie's mom) is out of school for the summer so we have been getting the 2 monkeys together so they can play and so we can have some adult time! Last week we were outside all week. The kids played in the blow up pool and with their toys, it was beautiful outside!!! It is now starting to get a little bit muggy and humid, but the kids don't seem to mind. Lincoln would be outside all day everyday if I let him. The problem is that my raft does not really fit in his little pool..haha! Him and Addie are having a little bit of a problem learning to share their toys, but they get better each time. Lincoln is being hilarious lately!!! He is starting to talk to us in sentences (although you can only make out about two words usually hat and ut oh), he really thinks he is talking to you though. Yesterday I ate an ice cream bar and set the wrapper down and he picked it up and took it to the trash can. Amazing what kids pick up on!! Another example.....Every time we get home and get inside I open up the top desk drawer and get the garage door opener and shut my garage door, apparently Lincoln has watched me do it many times. Sunday we went to target and Lincoln and I came inside while Matt was unloading the car...we walked in the door I put him down and he went to the top drawer got out the garage door opener and pushed to correct button to close it, I was so proud of him. While I was praising him i looked outside to see Matt jumping up and down, the hatch to my SUV was up and the garage door was crushing it. Luckily it did not do a lot of damage, I just got a new car about 6 months ago and I would have been very sad if it would have done a lot of damage. Lincoln was very proud of himself for "helping" me out!! He is getting so big!! I just love watching him grow up!!!
