Lincoln is ONE!!

I can not believe it has been a whole year since we had Lincoln. I found myself a little bit sad when he turned one, because time has gone by way too fast!! We are so thankful to be blessed with such a wonderful child!! As Lincoln gets older Matthew gets more excited for things like playing catch and riding 4-wheelers, and I get sad that he is getting so big but love how fun and cuddly he is right now. I have said this a million times, but I think every stage is so fun and my favorite all in different ways. We have been having so much fun with the weather finally nice. We live right next to a park that we can walk to. Lincoln is now walking (a little bit wably) but definitely getting everywhere he wants to go. He is a climber!!! He gets up on the couch and loves climbing up stairs. At the park he climbs up the stairs and tries climbing up the slide. We had a wonderful time for Lincoln's first birthday. He likes his cake and did really well with everyone joining us. We had a combined party for my mom 50th and Lincoln's 1st in my home town. It was such a lot of fun!! The theme was sailer, which I thought turned out really cute. He received many nice gifts, thank you everyone!! Nichole, Addie, Lincoln and myself all went to my mom and dads for a week. The trip could not have gone any better, the kids did wonderful on the car ride and sleeping at night. We will definitely be making that trip together again.
As for Lincoln right now...........his favorite all time toy is any kind of ball!! He also loves Tupperware, and getting into my cabinets and drawers. He still loves reading..favorite books right now are ones that he can feel and touch different textures. Last night he let me read him 5 books in a row (pretty good attention span for a 1 year old). As I said he LOVES climbing up onto the couch. He thinks it is fun to wrestle the pillows and daddy if he is there. He really likes water still, which will be great for this summer. He is doing really well with drinking whole milk, and is eating adult food very well. He likes grilled cheese, PB&J, crackers, pretty much the normal children food. He eats whatever I fix for us for supper usually. He is getting his four top teeth right now, and only has two on the bottom. He is taking a morning and an afternoon nap anywhere from 30-60 minutes. Lincoln is now saying 4 words..mama, dada, dog dog (I think), and ut-oh. We could not ask for a better baby, he is just perfect (I am a little bias)!! We go to the doctor next week for a check up and we will let you know how it went. Sorry for the delay in post, enjoy the pictures......
